Ukrainian Air Force transporting fuel to Danish polar station

Ukrainian Air Force's military transport aircraft Il-76 started to Denmark for participation in a joint Ukrainian-Danish military transport operation Northern Falcon 2010 of carrying fuel to Denmark's polar station on the island of Greenland.
In all, 31 Ukrainian servicemen are engaged in Northern Falcon 2010 operation. Ukrainian military pilots in course of Northern Falcon 2010 operation will carry on Il-76MD up to 500,000 litres of fuel and other cargo from the U.S. Air Force Thule Air Base to the Danish polar station Nord on the Greenland isle.
 
During the operation the Ukrainian crews plan perform about 20 flights, remaining in the sky for some 100 hours.
