UEFA President Michel Platini and Ukraine's Deputy Prime Minister Borys Kolesnikov have paid a working visit to Kharkiv for an update on infrastructure preparations for the UEFA EURO 2012 final round.
Platini visited the Kharkov Airport, in particular, the construction site of a new terminal. In addition, the UEFA boss attended the Metalist Stadium, noting that the area is very beautiful, like in Donetsk, but the main thing is that both are prepared at the proper level. He appreciated the pace of infrastructure preparations in Kharkiv for the football championship. "I believe that the situation in Kharkiv is positive. Everything is under control," he said.

Platini also said that Kharkiv has almost no problems. "There is a stadium, there are hotels, the new airport is under active preparation and a lot of work is done here," he underscored. After Kharkiv, Michel Platini will leave for Kyiv to meet Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych.
