Consumer prices in Ukraine grew by 1.9% in February 2010

The consumer prices grew by 1.9% in February 2010 in Ukraine, compared with January 2010, the State Statistics Committee reported.
According to the statement, the consumer prices for foodstuff and non-alcoholic beverages grew by 3.5%, prices for clothes and footwear did not change, the rates of housing and utility services grew by 0.2%, the rates of services related to the health care by 0.9%, education prices by 0.1% in February.
In comparison with February 2009, inflation of February 2010 grew by 11.5%. Ukraine has seen inflation of 3.7% since the start of the year.
